Currently, I am offering a unique set of new teacher services that will be tailored and designed for your school's specific needs to engage in Freedom Literacy. My services may span across 4-weeks to a full school year. I facilitate diversified pedagogy support based on the Data Driven Instruction Model, the Danielson Instructional Framework rubric, and the Technology Integration Matrix for teaching and learning. I aim to help teachers motivate students to complete independent learning tasks by modeling differentiated, self-regulatory learning strategies for students to engage in when independent of teachers. I will introduce teachers to concepts of utility-value and future-time perspective as a way to motivate students to stay engaged in learning, even when indepedent of their teachers.
Professional development $1000 per day.
Research shows, professional development is more effective when the teachers receive embedded coaching through observations and feedback. I am offering one on one coaching to educators who are ready to take a deep look at their practice and own their areas for growth in supporting students with self-regulatory, independent learning to ensure attainment of Freedom Literacy. Each coach-teacher timeframe for services from me is uniquely set up during initial consultation. Services are designed to provide educators with expert advice and guidance about finding the right research-based practice or tool to implement among their learners.
Individual teacher mentorship is an additional $250 per day.
Often times, mistakes teachers make come from being in a school community that never learned about the issues that impact their students most. I am qualified to provide student and teacher-led community event planning to educate and enhance parents, students, and staff on issues of Freedom Literacy such as: social justice, social emotional learning, equitable grading practices, the utility value of technology, cultural relevance, race and cultural bias, awareness of special education discrimination, and the integration of creative critical literacy strategies in all content areas including math, history, science, and reading.
—Creative directing of 3 events per school year with support of at least 5 school staff as co-directors, event planners, production assistants, and community liaisons
—20 after school sessions with a minimum of 5 teachers and 20 students to be trained as event leaders and participants
—Two school-wide professional development presentations to strengthen awareness of the event's topic among staff and to facilitate a post event reflection session.
Book an introductory consultation to discuss project-based rates. Consider combining all three services as an option that would allow your school to showcase the learning from the teacher level to the students. I recommend choosing a topic from the bold list above which may be used as a guiding topic of the professional development.
